How to File a Claim

  • Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Insurance
    • Report a Total Loss: Contact Ascentra Credit Union at 563-355-0152.
    • Claim Deadline: Must be reported within 60 days of the primary insurance settlement, or the date of loss if there was no primary insurance.
    • Payments: Continue payments during the claims process. Any payments made after the date of loss will be refunded as part of the GAP settlement if there were no delinquent payments.
  • Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) Advantage
    • Report a Total Loss: Contact Ascentra Credit Union at 563-355-0152.
    • Claim Deadline: Total loss and new loan for a replacement vehicle must occur within 90 days of the primary insurance settlement, or the date of loss if there was no primary insurance.
  • Assurance Damage & Repair (ADR)
    • File a Claim: Call 1-877-296-4892 or visit www.assuranceplus.com/claims to request a claim form.
    • Notice of Loss: Must be provided within 90 days of the date of loss, and no later than 1 year from the date of loss.
    • Documentation: Completed form and required documents must be submitted within 180 days of the date of loss, and no later than 1 year from the date of loss.
  • Debt Protection
    • Report a Claim: Contact Ascentra Credit Union at 563-355-0152.
    • Claim Deadline: Report within 60 days of primary insurance declaring the vehicle a total loss or within 180 days of an accidental death protected event.
    • Payments: Continue making payments during the claims process.
  • Mechanical Breakdown Protection (MBP)
    • Report a Claim: Contact the Route 66 Claims Department before any work is performed.
    • Emergency Road Service: Call 888-357-9637.
    • Reimbursement: Submit claims within 30 days from the authorization date.
  • Vehicle Protection Plan (VPP)
    • Report a Claim: Call 844-253-1295. Prior authorization is required before any work is performed.
    • Roadside Assistance: Call 1-844-253-1295.
  • Credit Insurance or Debt Protection
    • File a Claim Online (Recommended): Visit Securian.com/mycoverage to file and track your claim online. Create a secure account, select your claim type, answer a few questions and submit for review.
    • File by Paper Form: Request claim forms from your financial institution, complete the form and mail or fax to:

    • Documentation: Be prepared to provide your full name, date of birth, address, date and cause of the event and any supporting documentation.
