Great Spaces Create Opportunities

When young people have access to safe, welcoming environments, they're better able to learn, build relationships and explore their interests. That's one reason Ascentra Credit Union is proud to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley through a recent $22,000 donation that funded new furniture and carpeting for the organization's Learning Center and Art Room.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley provides after-school and summer programs for youth ages 6-18, offering a safe place to learn, grow and connect with positive mentors. Their programs help prepare young people for future success while giving them opportunities to develop skills, discover new interests and build confidence.

The updated Learning Center and Art Room will help create an environment where youth can focus on academics, explore their creativity and spend time with peers in comfortable, welcoming spaces. Improvements like these help ensure youth have access to spaces that are equipped for learning, creativity and collaboration.
