Hey It's Ascentra!

  • Nov 1, 2019

Have you heard? Ascentra’s new song and music video is sweeping across the region on social media, television and radio to the tune of nearly 20,000 interactions and over 30,000 impressions only a week after release.

“We couldn’t be happier with the results of the campaign so far, said Jennifer Naeve, Chief Marketing Officer for Ascentra Credit Union. “The video captures the essence of our company culture and brand and is a great representation of who we are as a credit union and company.”

The new music video was created in celebration of Ascentra’s new home office in downtown Bettendorf, Iowa. The new four-story building and branch opened on August 19, 2019.

Ascentra partnered with local music artist TC Boyd and production agency dphilms of Rock Island, to make the music video that features TC performing throughout the new building and celebrating with Ascentra’s employees.

“TC is an outstanding young man and talented artist who uses his past adversities to motivate and benefit others through music, poetry and public speaking,” said Dale Owen, President and CEO of Ascentra. “Once we met and got to know him, we knew he was a perfect fit for this music video.”

On Monday, October 14, 2019 the Ascentra staff gathered for a special training day inside the Waterfront Convention Center, where TC Boyd led a motivational talk, right before turning it over to “DJ Dale” who dropped the video over two massive projector screens to the delight of the staff. This was a taste of what was to come when the video was released on Friday, October 18, 2019 through social media, radio and television.

“We dropped this video to our 160 employees with great response, said Naeve. “It was during National Credit Union Week, which is a celebration of credit unions across the world. The theme for the national week was Local Service. Global Reach, which seemed perfect for this launch.”

That reach is only growing, as many in our region and worldwide are viewing, sharing and engaging with the social media posts spreading the catchy tune.

The song is available to stream on Spotify, Apple Music, and downloadable on iTunes by searching for “Hey It’s Ascentra” or TC Boyd.
