Celebrating 10 Years of Reading

  • Jan 4, 2019

Tiger Tales recipients pose for a class photoAt Ascentra, we believe that education is the key to success and are committed to supporting reading and literacy in our community.  One way we do this is by challenging first-graders in our region to read 10 books in one month and this year in 2019, we are celebrating 10 years of reading for our Grrreat Tiger Tales Reading Challenge in the Moline-Coal Valley School District!

The Grrreat Tiger Tales Reading Challenge is sent to all first-graders in the Moline-Coal Valley School District, encouraging them to read 10 books during the month of October.  Those who complete the challenge are invited to a pizza party along with their immediate family to the Moline Public Library where they have their name announced graduation-style and are awarded with their very own plush stuffed animal tiger and certificate of achievement.  They also get a commemorative class photo taken with our favorite froggy friend, Jumpin’ George.
