Making Cents of Auto Insurance

  • May 9, 2019

Auto Insurance is a policy purchased by vehicle owners to alleviate costs in the event of an accident or theft. Requirements vary, but nearly every state requires drivers to carry a minimum of liability insurance.

Liability will pay medical expenses, lost income and vehicle repairs for the other driver in the event you are at fault in an accident.

Some states also require personal injury protection and uninsured motorist coverage.
Which can cover costs when the other driver lacks insurance.

While liability covers the damage your vehicle has caused to others, it does not cover damage to your own vehicle. Collision and comprehensive are additional coverages that can protect your vehicle in the event of an accident, or non-collision related incident.

It is always a good idea to review your policy annually to see if you can benefit from switching providers. Remember you’re in the driver’s seat. Take control of your auto insurance policy and find out what is the best coverage for you.
