Intuit Quicken & Microsoft Money FAQ
Q. Is there an Intuit Quicken or Microsoft Money interface?
A. Yes. This is an OFX, or Open Financial Exchange interface. It works directly with your Windows-based version of Microsoft Money 2002 and higher or Intuit Quicken 2003 and higher software to update your account information automatically. Before you can begin to use Money or Quicken you must successfully log into Online Account Access one time. The password you have set for yourself will now work within Money & Quicken.
Q. I have two different accounts at Ascentra Credit Union, how can I configure Quicken or Money to properly recognize these two separate account numbers?
A. Visit our Quicken help and Microsoft Money help pages for instructions.
Q. How do I download my account history into Quicken or Money?
A. Visit our How to Download Account History into Quicken and Money page for instructions.
Q. I changed my Online Account Access Password, however when accessing my account from within Quicken or Money it still accepts my old password, why didn't it change?
A. Password changes for OFX products (Quicken & Money) conform to the OFX standard. This standard specifies that a Quicken or Money login following a password change can use either the new password or the old password. If you change your password in Online Account Access and you use your new password within Quicken or Money, this confirms the new password and it must be used for all future logins. However, if you change your password in Online Account Access but you use your old password within Quicken or Money, the password value reverts to the old one…basically, the password change is ignored.
Q. I have changed my Online Account Access Password. How do I update Microsoft Money with the new password?
A. You can update your password in Microsoft Money by doing the following: 1) Open Microsoft Money and click on "Account list". 2) Click on the Ascentra Credit Union account you want to update. 3) Under "Other Tasks" click on "Change account settings". 4) Scroll down to the bottom and click on "Change bank or brokerage passwords". 5) Update your UserID and Password to match what you used successfully on our website. 6) After changes have been completed, click Save Changes. 7) Click Done.
