How to Setup Ascentra Credit Union Accounts in Intuit Quicken® 2007
- Open Quicken 2007 and verify that you are connected to the Internet.
- Click on Tools, then Account List.
- Click on Add Account, then select the type of account you are adding.
- Type in the name for this account such as "Ascentra Checking 1543210," where 1543210 represents your first account number you want to setup, and click on Enter.
- Click on Next.
- Select Ascentra Credit Union from the drop down list and click Next.
- Quicken will ask you, "How do you want to set up your Ascentra Credit Union Account(s)?" Select Yes - I want to connect to Ascentra Credit Union through Quicken, I have an Ascentra Credit Union Username and Password.
- Click on Next.
- Quicken will require you to enter your Online Account Access Username and Password before continuing.
- Enter your User ID under Customer ID.
- Enter your Password in the space provided.
- Re-enter your Password.
- Click Next.
- Quicken will connect to the Ascentra Creidt Union web site.
- After Quicken has securely connected to the Ascentra Credit Union web site, it will show you a list of accounts that it detected.
- Quicken will show you all the sub-shares associated with the account entered. If you do not wish to add any of the sub-shares listed, uncheck the box in the add column.
- You may now change the Quicken account name if desired.
- When all the appropriate changes have been made, click on Next.
- Verify the account type and Quicken account name are correct and click on Done.
- If you wish to change anything in the list, click on Back and make any corrections. The sub-shares will show up under Cash Flow Accounts in the View Accounts tab.
- You will now be prompted to "Rename your Payees" if you wish to change the standardized payee name. Select edit and change the name. If there are any items you do not wish to rename, click on the item under the select column and remove the check mark.
- If you do not want this option again, click on the Don't offer to rename my payees again box.
- Click on Apply Settings.
How to set up additional Ascentra Credit Union account numbers in Intuit Quicken® 2007
- Open Quicken and verify that you are connected to the Internet .
- Select Add Account on the lower left panel.
- Start typing Ascentra Credit Union under "This account is held at the following institution"(Quicken will recognize the name as soon as you start typing it).
- Click on Enter.
- Click on Next.
- Select Yes, and click on Next.
- Enter your User ID under Customer ID.
- Enter and then reenter your password.
- Listing of subshares will be displayed. Ensure all are checked and click on Next.
- Click on Done.
- The additional account will display under Cash Flow Center.
- Click on Close.
How to change account User ID in Quicken
- Open Quicken.
- Click on Customize in lower left panel.
- Click on Edit in upper left dropdown menu on Account List page.
- Change Customer ID to reflect your new User ID that was assigned for Ascentra Credit Union account access.
- Click on OK.
- Click on Close. Changing Ascentra Credit Union account password in Quicken.
How to change password if account password is entered prior to each update
- Click the Update button.
- Next to the password that requires changing, click the key icon.
- Enter your current Ascentra Credit Union password.
- Enter a new password.
- Enter the password again to confirm it.
- Click OK.
- Click Update Now.
How to Change password using the Quicken password vault
- Click the Update button.
- Click on Manage My Passwords.
- The Edit Password Vault dialog will be displayed.
- Select the Ascentra Credit Union account that was changed.
- Click Change Password.
- Enter your new password.
- Confirm your new password.
- Click on Change.
- When passwords are stored, click, Done.
