Adobe Flash Player Help

These instructions are focused on installing Adobe Flash Player for Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Installing the Flash Player for other browsers will work in a similar manner to the instructions in this document, but will vary slightly.

Adobe Flash Player is available via free download from Adobe's web site. Using Microsoft Internet Explorer, navigate to www.Adobe.com

Once the Adobe home page fully displays, you will see a button labeled "Get Adobe Flash Player". Click this button to begin the Flash installation process. Below is an example of Adobe's home page;

After clicking the Get Adobe Flash Player button, the Adobe Flash Player Download Center page will be displayed. The page may be larger than your screen; therefore you might need to scroll down in order to read the whole page.

You should scroll down to the lower portion of the page to read the installation instructions. Depending on your browser's security settings, you might find an important alert regarding ActiveX controls. Please read and follow the instructions; they may be different from the one shown below.

Once you have read the installation instructions, scroll back to the top of the page to continue the installation process.

Un-check the "Also Install Google Toolbar" checkbox.

Check the box "I agree to the Adobe Flash Player terms"

Click the "Install Now" button and follow any on-screen instructions.

When the installation has completed, you will see the screen below.  The version number may change over time; therefore you do not need to see the same version number as is listed below. The upper portion of the screen will be animated, which indicates that Adobe Flash Player has been installed and is working properly.

It is possible that your computer may ask you to restart it. If it does, you will need to restart your computer before the Adobe Flash Player will work properly.
